Prices of iSCSI D2D backup accelerator appliances have dropped to the price of lower performance NAS and come standard w/ DeDuplication. Overland Storage has bought SNAP and American Megatrends has developed an "Equallogic killer" based on Intel's next generation appliance. Fujitsu has started delivering inexpensive 10Gbe switches that can be used in native 10Gbe iSCSI or FCOE SANs.
