HP / Compaq & IBM are "private labelling" Quantums's tape libraries AND have dropped the price of their iSCSI D2D backup accelerator appliance to the price of lower performance NAS. Overland Storage has bought SNAP and American Megatrends has developed an "Equallogic killer" based on Intel's next generation appliance. Fujitsu has started delivering inexpensive 10Gbe switches that can be used in native iSCSI or FCOE SANs along with 10Gb RAID products based on Neterion's 10Gbe acceleration products.
