Prices of iSCSI D2D backup accelerator appliances have dropped to the price of lower performance NAS and come standard w/ Snapshot & DeDuplication. Huawei, Cisco & IBM have started delivering inexpensive 10Gbe switches that can be used in native, commodity priced 10Gbe iSCSI or FCOE SANs.
