Prices of iSCSI D2D backup accelerator appliances have dropped to the price of lower performance NAS and come standard w/ DeDuplication. Cisco  has started delivering inexpensive 10Gbe switches that can be used in native 10Gbe iSCSI or FCOE SANs.
